frommovingengineparts.
5.Turnoffvehicle’sengineand
A/Csystembeforeattachinggauge.
6.Thefollowingprocedureistobe
performedonlybyatechnician
certifiedinrefrigerantrecovery
andrecyclingprocedures,
asexplainedpreviously.
Charging
1. Close both Manifold Valves (11) by turning CW.
Close both Coupler Valves (22, 23)
by turning CCW.
2. CONNECT HOSES:
a. ConnectoneendoftheBlueHose(19)
totheBlueLPHoseConnectorandthe
otherendtotheBlueCoupler(23).
b. ConnectoneendoftheRedHose(17)
totheRedLPHoseConnectorandthe
otherendtotheRedCoupler(22).
c. ConnectoneendoftheYellowHose(18)
totheYellowChargeHoseConnector(16)
andtheotherendtorefrigerantsupply.
KEEP THE CAN/CYLINDER UPRIGHT.
3. ATTACH COUPLERS:
a. AttachtheBlueCoupler(23)tothe
suctionLPportontheA/Csystem.
b. AttachtheRedCoupler(22)tothe
dischargeHPportontheA/Csystem.
4. PERFORM CHARGING:
a. Turnonthevehicleandallowittocome
uptonormaloperatingtemperature.
Then,turnontheA/Csystem.
b. OpentheBlueCouplerValve(23)onlybyturning
CWandBlueManifoldValve(11),turningitCCW.
5. AFTER:
a. Afterchargingmanufacturerrecommended
amountofR-134a,
close both Coupler Valves (22, 23)
by turning CCW.
b. TurnoffthevehicleandtheA/Csystem.
c. Carefully disconnect the Couplers (22, 23)
from the A/C system, the hoses may contain
residual refrigerant.Pullbacktheknurled
ringoneachCoupler(22,23)and
storeitonitsCouplerStoragePlug(7&6).
