5.Turnoffvehicle’sengineand
A/Csystembeforeattachinggauge.
6.Thefollowingprocedureistobe
performedonlybyatechnician
certifiedinrefrigerantrecovery
andrecyclingprocedures,
asexplainedpreviously.
Recovery / Evacuation
1. Close both Manifold Valves (11) by turning CW.
Close both Coupler Valves (22, 23)
by turning CCW.
2. CONNECT HOSES:
a. ConnectoneendoftheBlueHose(19)
totheBlueLPHoseConnectorandthe
otherendtotheBlueCoupler(23).
b. ConnectoneendoftheRedHose(17)
totheRedLPHoseConnectorandthe
otherendtotheRedCoupler(22).
c. ConnectoneendoftheYellowHose(18)
totheYellowChargeHoseConnector(16)
andtheotherendtotherefrigerant
recoverysystem/vacuumpump.
3. ATTACH COUPLERS:
a. AttachtheBlueCoupler(23)tothe
suctionLPportontheA/Csystem.
b. AttachtheRedCoupler(22)tothe
dischargeHPportontheA/Csystem.
4. PERFORM RECOVERY / EVACUATION:
a. Turnontherefrigerantrecovery
system/vacuumpump.
b. OpenbothCouplerValves(22,23)byturningCW
andbothManifoldValves(11),turningthemCCW.
c. Readtheamountofvacuumon
theBlueLPGauge(5).
5. AFTER:
a. Shutofftherefrigerantrecoverysystem/
vacuumpumpwhenthevacuumlevelreaches
themanufacturer’srecommendedlevel.
b. Close both Coupler Valves (22, 23)
by turning CCW.
c. DisconnecttheCouplers(22,23)
fromtheA/Csystem.Pullbacktheknurled
ringoneachCoupler(22,23)andstoreit
onitsCouplerStoragePlug(7&6).
