3. Your tool must be plugged into an appropriate outlet, properly installed and grounded in accordance with all codes and ordinances. Replace the nut and securely tighten. Slide the red cover back over the positive terminal. 7. Unscrew the negative (–) terminal nut and place the black wire (lug) from the Battery Charger over the (–) terminal screw. Replace the nut and securely tighten. Operation Caution: Do not attempt to start the vehicle engine with Battery Charger connected to an extension cord and powered up. If the battery is damaged, or is low on battery fluid, do not attempt to charge it.
