10. Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. Inspect tool cords periodically and, if damaged, have them repaired by an authorized technician. The handles must be kept clean, dry, and free from oil and grease at all times. 11. Disconnect power. Unplug tool when not in use. 12. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches.
22. Maintenance. For your safety, maintenance should be performed by a qualified technician. 23. Use proper size and type extension cord. If an extension cord is required, it must be of the proper size and type to supply the correct current to the tool without heating up. Otherwise, the extension cord could melt and catch fire, or cause electrical damage to the tool. See the chart below for appropriate extension cord size. Longer extension cords require larger size wire.
Operation Figure 1 Installing a Chisel. Chisels come with or without collars. Figure 1 shows installation of a chisel without a collar (the two included chisels are without a collar). Figure 2 shows installation of a chisel with a collar. Without a Collar: 1. Pull the retaining ring to the side just far enough to allow the bit to be inserted, as shown in Figure 1. 2. 3. Insert the bit. Slide the chisel in as far as it will go.

Wear an ANSI approved dust mask or respirator when working around metal, wood, and chemical dusts and mists. Always wear ear protection. Ear protection is required for any other persons in the work area. Warning!! Be aware of flying concrete chips. Keep all spectators clear of the work area.
