UNPACKING 6 When unpacking, check to make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. Press the Stop Pawl (4) away from the Ratchet (5) allowing the Cable (8) to be pulled out to the correct length in order to reach your load. Then, release the Stop Pawl (4).
Releasing The Load WARNING: Make sure the load is on a flat, level surface before it is released. Releasing the load on a slope or uneven surface could result in workpiece loss of control, property damage, and/or personal injury. 1. Hold the release lever down by cranking the Handle (9) one notch tighter. As soon as the Pawls clear the ratchet tooth the unit will disengage. When loosening the Cable (8), slide the spring back to the other end of the slot, see Figure 2.
INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING 1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the tool. Check for loose screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. Do not use damaged equipment. 2. Inspect the Cable (8) along its full length for kinks, frays or damage of any type.
