UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. If any
parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Appliances at the number shown
on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY
The Dynamo Lantern has a push button On/Off. Press the Button to OFF before 1.
charging the Dynamo Lantern. Pull out the Handle. Note: The push button ON/
OFF also controls the number of L.E.D’s that can be used. Pushing the button once
turns on four L.E.D’s, twice - eight L.E.D’s, third time - twelve L.E.D’s and the fourth
time shuts all the L.E.D’s off.
Grasp the Handle and crank it continuously clockwise for at least 1 minute. One 2.
minute of cranking the Handle will generate a varying amount of light depending on
how many L.E.D.s are used.
One minute cranking produces: 4 L.E.D.s for 20 minutes, 8 L.E.D.s for 15 minutes, or
12 L.E.D.s for 10 minutes.
When L.E.D.s are charged, fold handle back into the recess. 3.
Press the On/Off Button to ON to turn on the Dynamo Lantern. 4. Note: The push
button ON/OFF also controls the number of L.E.D’s that can be used. Pushing the
button once turns on four L.E.D’s, twice - eight L.E.D’s, third time - twelve L.E.D’s
and the fourth time shuts all the L.E.D’s off.
Battery Disposal
DISPOSAL: The Dynamo Lantern uses a rechargeable NiCd battery. Do not attempt 1.
to replace battery. Remove all screws from case and open. Cut wires from battery
with insulated wire clippers and remove battery. Disposing of the battery must comply
with the standards for hazardous waste disposal in your community. Contact your
local city government office for the nearest hazardous waste disposal area in your
community.
