Remove three switch housing screws and
lower switch housing from ceiling fan. [If fan
has a switch housing cap, proceed to 2b.]
If applicable, disconnect male plug from
motor housing and female plug from switch
housing. Remove switch housing from
switch housing plate.
Remove three switch housing screws at the
bottom of the switch housing and remove
the switch housing cap.

Punch center cap out of switch
housing or switch housing cap with a
screwdriver (not included).

Remove hex nut (AA) and lock washer (BB) from
threaded rod on light kit fitter (A). Gently feed wires
from light kit fitter (A) through hole in middle of
switch housing (see top drawing) or switch housing
cap (see bottom drawing) followed by lock washer
(BB) and hex nut (AA). Tighten hex nut (AA) over
lock washer (BB) for a secure fit.
