POWER PORTS AND PINS
• Power In – this is a standard 2.10mm Power Barrel Connector Jack. Use of this power jack is necessary to
power motor driven applications. A voltage level of 5-12V is recommended, but an absolute maximum
input of 20V is possible.
• MicroUSB – this is a micro USB type B port. This port is used for USB serial programming and debugging of
the Haply M0. Power provided by this port can only sustain the logic portions of the Haply M0, External
power using the Power-In port is needed to drive motor application.
• GND – this is the common ground for all power and logic
• Vin – this pin is connected with the main power-in connector
• 3.3V – this pin is connected with the regulated 3.3V power output
• 5V – this pin is connected with the regulated 5V power output
*Note: 5V and GND pins are also available on the motor extension pins. These pins are designed for a
motor/encoder system but can be used as regular power pins if needed. A more detailed explanation will be
given in the following sections
