English Remove the bolt using a 17 mm socket wrench. 4 17 mm 5 6 Measure the distance from the rough to the outside of the plaster shield ("X"). Add 1¾" to X. Cut the threaded end of the nipple so that the nipple measures 1¾" + X.

English Wrap the threads on the nipple using Teflon tape. 7 Install the nipple on the rough. Tighten the nipple using an 8 mm Allen wrench. 8 8 mm The nipple should extend 1" - 1⅛" from the surface of the finished wall. 9 30 mm Use a 17 mm socket wrench to remove the bolt from the handle side of the rough. Remove the nut, flush insert, and sealing ring.
