Batteries should only be replaced in a
non-hazardous area using the battery
types specified in this instruction
manual.

OPERATION:
• Remove the pro-
tective cap and
screw the probe
to the meter.
• Turn the Key
®
on.
• Use the Key
®
in
the appropriate
application. An
immersion level
of 4 cm (1½") is
recommended
for liquids. Un-
der no circum-
stances im-
merse above the
connector. Make
sure that the
body of the
meter is not ex-
posed to high
temperatures
(above 50°C/
122° F).
• Wait for the reading to stabilize and,
if necessary, change the probe to
match your application (see
accessories for a complete listing).
• When not in use, switch the Key
®
off.
• Do not disconnect the probe unless
necessary.
BEPS & BATTERY REPLACEMENT:
Key
®
is supplied with BEPS (Battery
Error Preventing System) which pre-
vents any erroneous reading due to
low batteries level. When the batteries
are low, the meter automatically
switches off.
To replace the batteries, slide off the
battery compartment cover and replace
all four 1.5V batteries, while paying
attention to their polarity.
