SETTING THE TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT
Switch the meter on by pressing ON/OFF.
Press FACTOR until the temperature coefficient is displayed.
Change this value by pressing UP or
DOWN. This value is adjustable from 0.0
to 3.0% per degree Celsius.
This feature is particularly helpful with acids, alkalis and concentrated
salt solutions which typycally have lower values, around 1.5%/°C.
All readings the readings are standardized at 25°C.
The default temperature coefficient is 1.9%. The coefficient can be set
from 0.0% (without compensation) to 3.0% per degree Celsius. The
meter retains this coefficient even when switched off.
DETERMINATION OF THE TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT
OF A SOLUTION
Immerse the probe into the solution and press RANGE if necessary
to select conductivity measurements.
Press FACTOR to display the temperature
coefficient.
Set the temperature coefficient to "0.0%" (i.e. no compensation)
by pressing DOWN.
Measure the conductivity of the sample at 25°C and denote it as
"C25".
