Press CAL to display "84.0µS" together with the "CAL" symbol
and an intermittent "BUF" indicator.
If the reading is within 15% of the theoretical value, then the
meter automatically recognizes the value.
" " will disappear from the display
when the reading is stable and "CON" will
start blinking.
Press CFM to confirm the calibration value and the display will
show "1413µS" expecting the 2
nd
calibration solution.
Repeat the same procedure using HI 7031/HI 8031 conductivity
calibration solution at 1413 µS/cm @25°C/77°F.
After confirmation of the 2
nd
calibration
value the display will show "1.41mS" ex-
pecting the 3
rd
calibration solution.
Press BUF to select the 12.88 mS/cm calibration value.
Repeat the same procedure using HI 7030/HI 8030 conductivity
calibration solution at 12.88 mS/cm @25°C/77°F.
After confirmation of the 3
rd
calibration solution, if everything is
satisfactory, the calibration ends and the meter returns to the
normal operational mode.
Three-point calibration is now complete and the instrument is ready
for use. All subsequent measurements will now be compensated to
25°C (77°F).
Notes:
To perform the calibration with a different first calibration value than
84 µS/cm, press BUF to select one of the other standard solutions.
To quit after 1 or 2 point calibration, press CAL.
If the instrument will not calibrate refer to the Probe Maintenance
and Cleaning section (page 30).
