Battery replacement must only take place in a
non hazardous area using AA type alkaline
batteries.
To install or replace the batteries, turn the unit off
and unscrew the 2 screws located on the back
of the battery cover.
Remove the battery cover
exposing the battery com-
partment.
Place the batteries in the
compartment while pay-
ing attention to the polar-
ity.
After the batteries have
been installed, replace the
battery cover on the back
of the instrument and
tighten the 2 screws.

RS 232 CONNECTION
To communicate with the instrument through
the HI 92000 software, simply use HI 920011
(optional) cable to connect the 9-pin serial port
of an IBM compatible computer and to the 5 pin
connector of the meter.
When connected the meter will maintain full
functionality, being able to perform a data trans-
fer while the meter is being operated.
NOTE: RS 232 communication is not allowed
when the meter is being calibrated.
The auto shut off feature is also disabled when
the meter is connected to a computer.

WARRANTY
All Hanna Instruments meters are warranted
for two years against defects in workmanship
and materials when used for their intended
purpose and maintained according to instruc-
tions. This warranty is limited to repair or
replacement free of charge. Damages due to
accidents, misuse, tampering or lack of pre-
scribed maintenance are not covered.
