ADDITIONAL CALIBRATION PROCEDURES
& INFORMATION FOR HI 931402 ONLY
(for technical personnel only)
For HI931402 only, you can perform the tem-
perature and mV calibration as follows.
TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION OF HI931402
Initial Preparation
• Prepare a vessel containing ice and water
and another one containing hot water (at a
temperature of at least 50°C). Place insula-
tion material around the container to mini-
mize temperature changes.
• Use a ChecktempC or
a calibrated thermom-
eter with a resolution
of 0.1 °C as a refer-
ence thermometer.
Procedure
• Switch the instrument on while pressing
the CAL key. The "CAL" indicator will be lit.
The secondary LCD section will show 0.0°C.
• Immerse the temperature probe
in the vessel with the ice and
water as near to the ChecktempC
as possible.
• Wait for temperature reading to stabilize.
• Use the

set the reading on the sec-
ondary LCD section to the
noted temperature of the ice
with the water.
• Press CFM key. The secondary LCD sec-
tion will show 50.0°C.
