PROCEDURE FOR HI 931402
Calibration of HI 931402 has a choice of 5
memorized standard buffers: 4.01, 6.86, 7.01,
9.18 and 10.01 pH.
• Make sure that the meter is in pH mode.
• Remove the protective cap from the elec-
trode and rinse it with some of the buffer
calibration solution you are going to use first.
ONE POINT CALIBRATION
One point calibration at pH 6.86 (NBS):
• Immerse the pH electrode
and the temperature probe
into pH 6.86 buffer solution
and shake briefly.
Note: the electrode should
be submerged approxi-
mately 4 cm (1½") into the
solution. The temperature
probe should be located as
close as possible to the pH electrode.
• Press the CAL key. The "CAL" and "
BUF
1
"
indicators will be displayed. The second-
ary LCD will display "4.01".
• Press the
°C
key. The secondary display
will change to “6.86”.
• When the electrode is submerged in the
buffer solution, the meter will notify the
user if the reading is not stable.
If the readings fluctuate the
LCD will blink "NOT READY".
