INITIAL PREPARATION
Dissolve 1 g of the fertilizer to be used in 1 L
of distilled water.
Rinse the probe thoroughly in distilled water.
This is to minimize contamination of the cali-
bration solution and secure higher accuracy.
When possible, use plastic beakers to mini-
mize any EMC interferences.
PROCEDURE WITH ATC
Press the Fert key but-
ton to enter the fertilizer
#1 mode.
Leave the conductivity probe to dry in the
air.
Using a small screwdriver adjust the OFF-
SET trimmer on the rear panel until the
reading is "0.00 gm".
Press the CAL key and "1.00 gm" will
blink on the primary LCD to prompt the
user to select the calibration buffer value.
The "CAL" symbol will also be displayed.

Take the temperature of
the solution with a
Checktemp or a glass
thermometer.
Enter the correct buffer
temperature value by
using the numeric keys
and press ENTER to
confirm the temperature
setting.
Continue the procedure as for calibra-
tion with ATC, but without temperature
probe connection.
