MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
Note: for sample preparation follow the IRRIGATION WATER (LR)
procedure at page 19.
Select the program number 13 “Calcium” on the secondary LCD
by pressing PROGRAM M and L.
Using the 5 mL syringe add exactly 3.00 mL of sample to the
cuvet
Add 4 drops of Buffer Reagent.
Use the pipette to fill the cuvet
up to the 10 mL mark with
the HI 93752A-0 Ca Buffer
reagent.

Press ZERO and "SIP" will
blink on the display.
Wait for a few seconds and the display will
show "-0.0-". Now the meter is zeroed and
ready for measurement.
Remove the cuvet.
Using the other 1 mL syringe, add to the cuvet
exactly 0.5 mL of sample.

Note: Do not mix up the two syringes!
Replace the cap and invert
several times to mix.
Reinsert the cuvet into the instrument.
Press TIMER and the display will show
the countdown prior to the measurement or, alternatively, wait for
15 seconds and press READ DIRECT. In both cases “SIP” will blink
during measurement.
The instrument directly displays concentration in mg/L of Magnesium
(Mg) on the Display.
