The temperature should be calibrated at least
every 3 months or whenever the readings are
in doubt, using the following procedure:
Immerse the bottom
60 mm (2.4") of the probe
in a beaker of water.
Switch the instrument to
°C.
Agitate the water for at
least 10 minutes until ther-
mal equilibrium between the
probe and water is
achieved.
Check the temperature
of the water using
ChecktempC or a ther-
mometer with a resolution
of 0.1°C (e.g. 20.0°C).
Adjust the °C trimmer until the display
reads the thermometer temperature value.
Note: It is important to ensure thermal
equilibrium between probe and the water
as 1 degree of temperature difference
entails an error of ±3% in dissolved
oxygen measurement.
