Fluoride

• Place the cuvet with the reacted distilled

water (# 1) into the holder and

ensure that the notch on the cap is

positioned securely into the groove.

• Press TIMER and the display will show the countdown prior to

zeroing the blank or, alternatively, wait for two minutes and

press ZERO and "SIP" will blink on the display.

• Wait for a few seconds and the display

will show "-0.0-". Now the meter is

zeroed and ready for measurement.

• Remove the cuvet.

• Insert the other cuvet (# 2) with the

reacted sample into the instrument.

• Press READ DIRECT and "SIP" will blink on the LCD during

measurement.

• The instrument directly displays concentration in mg/L of fluoride

on the Liquid Crystal Display.

Note: For wastewater or seawater samples, before performing

measurements, distillation is required.

Note: For most accurate results, use two graduated pipettes to

deliver exactly 8 mL of distilled water and 8 mL of sample.
