Fit the hinges to the outer flap. Do not glue the hinges at this time. Remove the flap and hinges from the wing. Apply a small amount of epoxy to the hinge where it enters the flap.
5 6 7 LL RR LL RR Fit the flap to the wing and check the alignment. Use a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol to remove any excess epoxy before the epoxy fully cures. Tie the string located inside the wing to the end of the 12-inch (305mm) extension. Remove the flap servo cover. Use the string to pull the aileron lead to the opening for the flap servo. 5 6 7 8 Install the grommets and brass eyelets in the servos. Secure the rudder and elevator servos in the fuselage using the screws provided with the servos. Mount the switch harness in the fuselage. Two sizes have been provided to fit a variety of switches available. Secure the receiver battery in the fuselage using a hook and loop strap. Secure the leads between the battery and switch harness using string or dental floss. Connect the leads and extensions to the receiver.

Use a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol to remove any excess epoxy. Use low-tack tape to hold the stabilizer halves tightly against the fin until the epoxy fully cures. Make sure the stabilizer is aligned with the wing as shown. The wing can be removed from the fuselage once the epoxy has fully cured.
3 4 5 LL RR LL RR Remove the elevator and hinges from the stabilizer. Lightly sand the elevator joiner wire where it contacts the elevators. Use a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol to remove any oil or debris from the joiner. Wrap a piece of low-tack tape around the stabilizer in the area of the joiner wire to help prevent gluing the joiner wire to the stabilizer. Fit the elevators into position, guiding the joiner wire into the stabilizers.

Once the CA cures, gently pull on the fixed surface and control surface to make sure the hinges are glued securely. If not, apply additional CA to secure each of the hinges. 4 5 Turn on the radio system and install a long servo horn on the elevator servo. Use side cutters to remove any arms that may interfere with the operation of the elevator servo. 6 7 8 9 Apply a small amount of thin CA to harden the threads made in the previous step. Connect the fuel tubing from the clunk to the carburetor. Trim the tubing as necessary to prevent it from folding over, preventing fuel flow to the carburetor. M3 x 12 Use a drill and 1/16-inch (1.5 mm) drill bit to drill the holes for the cowl mounting screws. Make sure the cowl position is correct before drilling each hole.
10 11 12 13 Secure the cowl to the fuselage. Glue the radiator to the bottom of the cowling. Attach the muffler header to the engine, then attach the muffler to the header. Position the muffler and header so they provide clearance over the radiator scoop and away from the cowling. Connect the line from the vent to the muffler. Install the spinner back plate and propeller. Secure the propeller using the appropriate adapter nut suited to your particular engine installation.
