7.3. Connecting the USB Cable
To facilitate USB communication between the Terminal and the host workstation, you can connect your unit to a
host using the USB cable. Insert the micro-USB connector cable onto the bottom of the terminal as shown.
7.4. Workstation Communication
To synchronize, Windows Mobile Device Center must be installed and configured for the appropriate
communication type on the host workstation and the Terminal. Terminals ship with the software already installed.
If WMDC has already been installed on the host workstation, you just need to connect the Terminal to the host
workstation to initiate the communication.
NOTE: You can download the most current version of Windows Mobile Device Center from www.microsoft.com.
WARNING: Your terminal is designed to be connected to the host workstation using Handheld
peripherals, power cables, and power adapters. Use of any non-Handheld peripherals, cables, or power
adapters may cause damage not covered by the warranty.
7.5. Communication Type
The TERMINAL supports the following type of communication via Windows Mobile Device Center through its
I/O connector on the bottom panel. The USB cable and hardware peripherals allow the Terminal to communicate
with a workstation through a USB port or to a network through a USB hub. The Terminal supports high-speed
USB communication (USB 2.0); maximum data transfer rate is 480 Mbps.
