Connecting the wires
□ Strip 3/4 in. of insulation from the wire ends, and twist the
stripped ends together with pliers.
□ Connect the glossy/live wire from the fixture to the black wire
from the outlet box, and the rough/neutral wire from the
fixture to the white wire from the outlet box.
□ The bare copper grounding wire from the fixture must loop
one turn under the head of the green ground screw (BB) on
the mounting bracket (AA) before it is connected to the
grounding conductor of the supply circuit.
□ Cover the wires with wire connectors (EE). Tape the wire
connectors (EE) and wires together, and carefully position all
wires inside the outlet box.
NOTE: The glossy/live wire has the text printed on it;
the rough/neutral wire has the ridge on it.

Attaching the canopy assembly to
the outlet box

Installing the glass shades and
light bulbs
□ Place the canopy assembly (B) over the outlet box, and
ensure the heads of the support screws (AA) (long) come
through the holes of the canopy assembly (B).
□ Tighten the cap nuts (FF) onto the protruding support
screws (AA) on the mounting bracket (A) until the fixture
body is held firmly against the ceiling.
□ Unscrew the socket rings (H) from the sockets. Set the
glass shades (G) onto each socket, and secure them with
the socket rings (H).
□ Install the light bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Use
three 60-watt medium base bulbs.
NOTE: You can also use three 13w maximum SBCFL
bulbs (sold separately). Do not exceed the recommended
wattage.
