Chapter 2: Note on Installation The installation of the DVB-T USB 2.0 receiver is described in this chapter. The chapter comprises: •System requirements •DTV application program and DirectX installation •Hardware installation •Software installation 2.1 System requirements •IBM or IBM-compatible computer •Operating system: Windows 2000(SP4)/ XP(SP2) •CPU: 1000MHz or faster •Memory: 256MB or more •Sound card •Microsoft DirectX9.0 or higher •Microsoft Media Player 7.0 or higher Warning! Before installing the hardware and the driver, you must install the DTV application software and the DirectX9.0 software. Important information: If the USB 2.0 DVB-T Box is used indoors or in remote areas, we recommend the following optimised DVB-T antennas by Hama to improve the reception: Item nos. 44293 or 44291. We recommend installing an external antenna, if the DVB-T USB 2.0 receiver is used indoors. 2.2 Installing the DTV application program and DirectX 1. Insert the enclosed driver CD-ROM in the computer's CD-ROM drive. The DTV application software automatically starts the installation program. Follow the subsequent instructions. If the installation cannot be automatically started, consult the CD-ROM directory and double click the Setup.exe file to start the installation procedure.
