Warning
Please note that lights (even LEDs) can generate heat
and may become hot. Always let the light cool down
for a few minutes before touching it.
The device may only be operated on a 230 V 50 Hz
AC voltage network. Work on the 230 V network must
only be carried out by an electrician certied in your
country. The applicable accident prevention regulations
must be adhered to.
To avoid an electric shock from the device, please
disconnect the mains voltage (switch off the automatic
circuit breaker). Failure to comply with the installation
instructions can cause res or other hazards.
Risk of electric shock
Do not open the product and do not operate it if it is
damaged, if smoke, a strange smell or loud noises are
coming from it. Immediately contact your dealer or our
service department (see item “Service and Support”).
Note
The light source of this light is not replaceable; when the
light source has reached the end of its life, you need to
replace the entire light.
Warning
Never look straight into the light source and do not aim
its beam of light straight into the eyes of
other people or animals. This could damage
your/their eyes.
Example installation in wood / drywall ceiling:
1. Before commencing any installation, maintenance or
repair work, please disconnect the power circuit by
disconnecting the fuse.
2. Secure the power circuit against being switched back
on.
3. Check that the required minimum installation depth of
80 mm (47 mm light + 33 mm clearance) is available.
The clearance between the upper edge of the light
and the ceiling must not be less than 33 mm to allow
ventilation. The minimum distance between the lights
and ammable materials must be no less than 50
cm. Do not cover the light with any heat-insulating
material.
4. Mark out the position where the light is to be installed.
5. Create an installation opening with a diameter of 75
mm using a suitable hole saw. Take care not to disturb
any hidden installation or supply lines.
6. The terminal points (e.g. terminal strip) between
the domestic installation and the built-in spotlight
connection cable must be clamped in suitable junction
boxes. (Not included in the extent of delivery).
7. Continuing cables to the next built-in light must
correspond in terms of structure and insulation to
the operating mode. The yellow / green (earth / PE
conductor) cable is not connected. Other lights are
cabled in par
allel.
230 V
50 Hz
8. Close the junction box and push it into the installation
opening. Also ensure that the cables are free of
compressive and tensile forces. Protect all cables and
insulation from any potential damage.
9.
Position the built-in light at an angle and rst insert a
clamp into the installation opening. The springs on the
clamp are very powerful and can cause injury if due
attention is not paid!
10. Now guide the second clamp into the installation
opening. The built-in light is now slowly introduced all
the way into the installation opening. The force of the
clamps is sucient to hold the built-in light in position.
11. No further xings are needed. For precise alignment,
the built-in light can be easily repositioned and rotated.
The internal part of the light can also be swivelled.
12. Only reinsert the fuse once all built-in lights have been
installed.
