The DP II Computer Caliper
The DP II is a powerful and versatile
computer caliper, built for demand-
ing jobs in timber cruising, log scaling,
standing tree inventory and harvester
calibration. Many attractive features
and unique accessories make the DP II
the most optimized and complete solu-
tion for diameter measuring in forests
and on industries.
The DP II caliper is well balanced with
low weight, reliable storage and quick
processing. Diversied operation modes
enable you to perform efcient eld
measurement operations in a number of
work areas and situations. Always with
accurate and instant results.
Patented foldable heavy-duty jaws with
a slim shape on the DP II SmartScale
allow you to work comfortably in timber
piles and in dense forests. When equipped
with the Radio Enter button, the
SmartScale can be used as a stand-alone
unit to transfer diameters as you work.
The DP II computer can be placed on your
wrist or in your front pocket to receive,
store and process the data.
Together with the Skalman v7 system,
the DP II is great for harvester calibration
applications and fully complies with
the new StanForD 2010 calibration
standard. The special ex scaling
calibration method is uniquely available
with the Skalman system and the
electronic Digitech® Tape.
Other useful and value-adding accessories
for the DP II include the Gator Eyes laser
pointers, the Digitech Keyboard, the DP
GPS for navigation, the DP DME for plot
survey and the DP Postex for positioning
work with the caliper.
A large selection of readymade software
applications in various languages is
available to allow also complete beginners
to start working instantly with the DP II
caliper.
The DP II communicates through the
dirt & moist-proof comport and built-in
Bluetooth and IR. The instrument is built
tough inside and out, with reinforced
housing and eld adapted display,
rechargeable Li-Ion batteries and a
patented, sealed, absolute measuring
system in lengths from 500mm or 18” to
1020mm or 40” in various congurations.
A mechanical enter button is assembled
on the SmartScale handle for increased
comfort, reach and ergonomy. Choose if to
execute measuring results with this button
or with the keyboard enter button.
The DP II computer terminal placed on the wrist
and with the SmartScale used to measure standing
tree diameters. This work mode is possible by using
the Radio Enter button (factory assembled) on the
SmartScale to send data to the computer terminal
for storing and processing.
