Heating up in seconds, the GS-30 is ready when you are – for fast touch-ups of your favorite blouses, shirts and suits, without the hassle of an iron or the fear of scorching.

HELPFUL HAAN® HINT: Never rest the Steam Head Wand anywhere except in the Steam Head Cradle found at the top of the collapsible hanger. Assembling Your HAAN® Garment Steamer the hanger assembly to the top of the pole and 3 Insert press down until it is stable. The crossbar on the hanger 3 locks into place at the center. Screw the lock tight against the center pole. Unscrew and lower sides for storage. ➟ the widest end of the 2 Insert telescoping pole into the base ➟ Threaded Base Ring of the unit, aligning threads in the base ring and turn the base ring until tightened and flush with the base.
Adjusting Your Deluxe Garment Valet Open Closed Wand Cradle — The prongs on the top of the hanger serve as a rest for the Steam Wand between uses. ➟ Crossbar — The Crossbar twists from vertical to horizontal with ease. Grasp the center pivot, pull and twist so the matching pieces snap into place. ➟ Pole Locks — Loosen the telescoping pole locks and adjust the pole to the height best suited to your needs.
Using Your Garment Steamer CAUTION The GS-30 emits steam at 212°F to sanitize the area of use. This means that the Steam Wand and attachments get very hot during use. Care should be taken when using this appliance and DO NOT touch items during use except in the approved manner as outlined in this manual. i ! CAUTION Use a grounded receptacle. Use only a heavy duty extension cord rated for 15 amps minimum – DO NOT use an ordinary extension cord.

Be sure to get it tight.To avoid any leakage or dripping, we recommend that you carry it back to the base with the cap up rather than by the handle. 6) Hold the Reservoir Tank over the recess in the base and turn it over so the cap is now facing down.

If you will not be using the unit again soon, be sure to drain all the remaining water from the Reservoir Tank and also the internal tank by opening the Excess Water Removal Valve (Fig 8) and emptying the excess.
Using Your Garment Steamer Fig 12 Operating Instructions: (cont) Lint/Hair Removal Brush Attachment: Fig 13 • Attach the Lint/Hair Removal Brush to the steam head to remove dust or lint on clothing or upholstery. Match the shape of the attachment to the steam head and press the attachment firmly to the steam head until the tabs on the top and the bottom of the brush snap securely into place.

Slip it over the steam head to sanitize and wipe away residue. (Fig 18) Helpful Hints: Fig 19 • Sanitize Baby’s Room: The GS-30 Professional Sanitizing Garment Steamer is great for keeping baby’s crib sheets, mattress, toys and other fabric surfaces clean and germ free.
Care & Maintenance ! Mineral Deposits: IMPORTANT Always be sure that your Garment Steamer is UNPLUGGED from the wall receptacle prior to cleaning or before emptying the water tank. i ! One problem with a steamer appliance is the mineral deposits caused by the high mineral content in many municipal water supplies. Mineral residue inside of the internal pipes and heater can cause intermittent steaming or, in some cases, no steam at all.

Drain all the remaining water from the orange removable Reservoir Tank by unscrewing the Water Refill Cap on the underside of the tank and emptying any excess water.

Frequently Asked Questions ? Question: Does the GS-30 HAAN® Garment Steamer actually iron or press clothing? The GS-30 Garment Steamer doesn’t press clothing, but rather, relaxes wrinkles. However, by using the hand pressing board, you will be able to steam garments flat or crisp. ? Question: Does the HAAN® Garment Steamer kill germs? Yes, the 212°F steam kills up to 99.9% of E.Coli, Salmonella and other commmon Household germs – to leave fabrics fresh and clean.
Frequently Asked Questions ? Question: Do I have to empty the tank completely after I am done using the Garment Steamer? We recommend emptying the water from the tank if you are not going to use the unit again soon and are storing it away. Directions for doing this are described on pg 17. ? Question: Do the accessories lock into place, or do I have to worry about them coming off while I am steaming? The accessories snap firmly onto tabs found on the steam head.
