4. MOUNTING/CONNECTION
Connect a stabilized and filtered DC voltage of 12 V (10 –15 V) to the two
screw terminals, designated with „12 V DC“ using the correct polarity. If an
AC higher than 25 V or a DC higher than 60 V is set at the built-in relay you
must provide that it must not be touched – or the device must be operated in a
housing in which the unit can not be touched. In this case the device may only
be installed or operated by a specialistt or an electrician. Hereby please notice
the valid VDE regulations.
When connecting/switching a device that can be hazardous when
malfunctioning, an additional safety measure is required.
– Plan the connection to other devices such as PCs very carefully. Under certain
circumstances connections to third party devices (e.g devices with ground to
earth connections) can cause additional voltage surges.
– Avoid the influence of moisture (rain or water spray), dust and direct sunlight
on the device.
– When used in industrial facilities, the accident prevention regulations of the
professional trade association for electrical installations and equipment must
be followed.
– When used in schools, training centers, hobby rooms and workshops, the
operation must be monitored by trained personnel.
– If the device needs to be repaired, only original spare parts may be used. The
use of differing spare parts can cause serious damage and/or injury!
