•Donotoperatethemeasuringdevicewhenexposedtodirectsunlightortotoohigh
(>+40°C)ortoolow(<0°C)ambienttemperatures,ameasuringerrormaytherefore
increasesignicantly.
•Donotoperatethemeasuringdevicewithinimmediatedistanceofhighlymagnetic
areas(loudspeakers,magnets),electro-magneticareas(transformers,engines,induc-
tors,relays,contactorunits,electromagnetetc.),electrostaticareas(charge/dischar-
ge),transmittingaerialsinceallpointsabovementionedmayresultinanunstable
display or too many measuring errors.
•Toavoidacurrentshock,ensurethattheprobetipsandtheconnections(measuring
points)tobemeasuredarenottouched,notevenindirectly,duringthemeasurements.
•Ifitisassumedthatasafeoperationcannolongerbeguaranteed,thedevicemust
be switched off and secured from being used unintentionally. It must be assumed that
thedevicecannolongerbeoperatedsafelyincaseofvisibledamage,–thedeviceis
nolongerworking,-longstoringunderunfavourableconditionsor,-harshtransport
conditions.
Neverswitchonthedeviceimmediatelywhentakingitfromacoldtoawarmroom.
The thereby created condensation water can destroy the device under certain condi-
tions. Let the switched off device come down to room temperature.
Realisation of measurements, operation
Beforeinitialoperation,ensurethereisenoughinsulationofthedeviceandthatthe
sparkingdistanceinairandthecreepagedistanceaccordingtoVDE0411orVDE410
andIEC-1010-1arecompliedwith.
Attention!
1.Neverexceedthemaximuminputvariables.Thesearemeantforthecurrentrange40
VDCorthecurrentmeasurementrange+/-20A.
2.Watchoutforcurrentsover35VDC.Donottouchanycircuitsorconnectionparts
inwhichcurrentshigherthan35VDCoccurormayoccur.Themeasuringinputfor
current/voltageisnotsecured.

If a measuring range is exceeded, a string will appear instead of a measuring value.
