OXYGEN SENSOR REPLACEMENT
Running the NEW O2 sensor function tells
the system that the O2 sensor on the Gas
Detector has been physically replaced. Run
this only after the sensor has actually been
replaced.
Disconnect power from the Diagnostic
Center. Disconnect the plug attached to the
end of the O2 sensor. Unscrew the O2
sensor. Carefully screw the new O2 sensor
into the socket, being sure not to cross
thread. The sensor should turn easily into the
threads. Plug the lead into the end of the
sensor. Apply power to the Diagnostic
Center, and run the New O2 function to
inform the Diagnostic Center that the O2
sensor has been replaced. Run the Gas
Calibration procedure to calibrate the new
sensor.
NOx SENSOR REPLACEMENT
Running the NEW NOx sensor function tells
the system that the NOx sensor on the Gas
Detector has been physically replaced. Run
this only after the sensor has actually been
replaced.
Disconnect power from the Diagnostic
Center, and remove the two screws that hold
down the small plate on the top of the Gas
Detector. Release the plastic latch that holds
the NOx sensor in place, and remove it by
gently pulling straight up. Replace the sensor
by sliding it into the socket until the latch
snaps into place. Replace the cover, and
apply power to the Diagnostic Center. Run
the New NOx function. Run the Gas
Calibration procedure to calibrate the new
sensor.
