Configure RS232C
Background
The RS232C interface is used for remote control
with a PC.

Baud Rate
Stop bit: 1 (fixed)
Parity: none (fixed)
Data bit: 8 (fixed)
Connection
Connect an RS232C cable from
the PC to the rear panel RS232
port.

Config[F1]>RS232 BaudRate[F4] to set the baud
rate.

Invoke a terminal application such as Realterm.
To check the COM port No, see the Device
Manager in the PC. For WinXP; Control panel
→ System → Hardware tab.
Run this query command via the terminal after
the instrument has been configured for RS232
remote control (page 35).
