Statistics
Background
The Statistics function can be used to view a
number of statistics for the selected automatic
measurements. The following information is
displayed with the Statistics function:
Value
Currently measured value
Mean
The mean value is calculated from
a number of automatic
measurement results. The number
of samples used to determine the
mean can be user-defined.
Min
The minimum value observed
from a series of measured results
for the selected automatic
measurement items.
Max
The maximum value observed
from a series of measured results
for the selected automatic
measurement items.
Standard
Deviation
The variance of the currently
measured value from the mean.
The standard deviation equals the
squared root of the variance value.
Measuring the standard deviation
can, for example, determine the
severity of jitter in a signal.
The number of samples used to
determine the standard deviation
can be user-defined.
Set High-Low
1. Press the Measure key.
Measure
2. Select at least one automatic
measurement.
