Acquisition
The Acquisition process samples the analog input signals and
converts them into digital format for internal processing.
Select Acquisition Mode
Background
The acquisition mode determines how the samples
are used to reconstruct a waveform.
Sample
This is the default acquisition
mode. Every sample from each
acquisition is used.
Peak detect
Only the minimum and maximum
value pairs for each acquisition
interval (bucket) are used. This
mode is useful for catching
abnormal glitches in the signal.
Average
Multiple acquired data is
averaged. This mode is useful for
drawing a noise-free waveform.
To select the average number, use
the Variable knob.
Average number: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64,
128, 256
Panel Operation
1. Press the Acquire key.
