Select Acquisition Mode
Background
The acquisition process samples the analog
input signals and converts them into digital
formats for internal processing. The acquisition
mode determines how the samples are used to
reconstruct a waveform.
Modes
Sample
This is the default acquisition
mode. Every sample from each
acquisition is used.
Peak Detect
Only the minimum and
maximum value pairs for each
acquisition interval (bucket) are
used. This mode is useful for
catching abnormal glitches in
the signal.
Average
Multiple acquired data is
averaged. This mode is useful
for drawing a noise-free
waveform.
Average Setting: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32,
64, 128, 256
Steps
From the Acquire menu, press Mode and select
an option. When a mode has been selected,
press OK.

Sample, Peak Detect, Average
