Use as designated
The pump has exclusively been designed to pump clean
w ater to supply w ater to household, in the garden, farm and in
agriculture. If provisions of the generally valid regulations or
provisions of these Operating Instructions are not follow ed,
the manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage.
The complete Operating Instructions must be read before
using the appliance for the first time. If there are any doubts
regarding the connection and operation of the appliance,
please contact the manufacturer.

Disposal
Disposal instructions are illustrated in the form of pictograms
on the device or packaging. Description of the pictograms is
given in "Identification" chapter.
Disposal of transport packaging
Packaging protects the device against damage during
transport. Packaging materials are usually selected according
to their effect on environment and disposal methods and can
therefore be recycled.
Returning of the packaging back to circulation saves
resources and costs for packaging disposal.
Parts of the packaging (e.g. foil, styropor) may be dangerous
for children. Risk of suffocation!
Keep these parts of the packaging out of reach of children
and dispose as soon as possible.
Operator requirements
The operator must carefully read the Operating Instructions
before using the appliance.
Qualification:
No special qualification is necessary for using
the appliance apart from detailed instruction by an expert.
Minimum age
The appliance can only be operated by persons over 16 years
of age. An exception includes youngsters operating the
appliance w ithin their professional education to achieve
necessary skills under trainer's supervision.
Training
Using the appliance only requires appropriate instructions by
a professional or reading the Operating Instructions. No
special training necessary.

Transport and storing
When storing the appliance for winter, it is necessary
to make sure there is no water in the appliance as frost could
be cause the appliance to get damaged.
Unplug the pump every time it is to be transported!
The pump must be emptied to the full extent and stored in a
place protected against frost. Rinsing the pump with
appropriate oil (e.g. vegetable oil) may prevent, to some
extent, mechanical sealing from sticking.
Assembly first start-up
Pre-filter and screen for impurities
If w ater contains sand, the pump must be fitted w ith a pre-
filter (can be supplied as an accessory) betw een the suction
hose and the pump body (pic. E). A suction branch w ith a
reverse valve and a screen for impurities must necessarily be
used. If sand enters the slip strip sealing (engine – pump
transmission shaft), it can get damaged! This w ould represent
damage by the appliance user, therefore, not covered by the
w arranty not even in the w arranty period.
Safety instructions for first start-up
Caution: The pump must not run empty.
Do not use the pump to pump drinking w ater!
The user is responsible to third persons as far as using the
pump (pumping station, etc.) is concerned.
To be used on connections with a safety switch against
stray current (FI) only!
Before putting the appliance into operation, a qualified
electrician must check w hether the required electrical safety
equipment is in place.
Electric connection by means of a socket.
Check the voltage. The technical details on the label must
correspond to the electric netw ork voltage. If the pump is used in
ponds, w ells, etc. and in appropriate w ater equipments, standards
applicable in the countries w here the pump is used must
necessarily be adhered to.
Electric pumps used outside must be fitted w ith a rubber electric
cable, H07RNF type, according to DIN 57282 or DIN 57245
standards.
When the pump is being operated, no people or animals
are allowed to stay or plunge in the pumped liquid (e.g.
swimming pools, cellars, etc.).
The pumped liquid temperature must not exceed +35 °C. If
an extension cable is used, it must exclusively be made out
of rubber, H07RNF type, according to DIN 57282 or DIN
57245 standards. A pump that is plugged must never be
touched, lifted or carried by cable. It is necessary to make
sure the connecting socket is alw ays in a distance from
w ater and moisture and the plug is protected against
moisture.
