WARNING! Danger of injury !
The appliance must not be used to cut hedges,
hard branches and wood or to crush material for
compost.
Do not use the appliance to cut grass that is not on
the ground, e.g. grass growing on walls, rocks, etc.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated
for normal use. Not observing general regulations
in force and instructions from this manual does not
make the manufacturer liable for damages.
It is necessary to comply with the regulations applica-
ble in the country where the truck is used.
Requirements for operating sta
The appliance may only be operated and maintained
by persons familiarised with it and informed about
possible risks.
Never let children work with the appliance. Never let
adults work with the appliance unless they have been
properly trained.
The operating sta must carefully read the Opera-
tingInstructions before using the appliance.
Qualication: Apart from the detailed in-
structions by aprofessional, no special quali-
cation is necessary forappliance using.
Minimum age: Persons over 16 years of age
can only workon the appliance.An excep-
tion includes youngsters trained in order to
reachknowledge under supervision of the
trainer duringoccupational education.
Local regulations may stipulate the
minimum age of the user.
Training: Using the appliance only requires corre-
spondingtraining by a professional or the Operating
Instructions. Nospecial training is necessary.
Residual risks
Danger of injury !
Rotating blades may lead to serious injuries by
cutting or amputating parts of the body.
Always have your arms and legs in safe distance
from the cutting mechanism, in particular after
turning the engine on.
Never touch under the housing body when the
engine is running. Wear protective shoes.
Never use the lawn trimmer without the protective
cover.
After the appliance is turned o, the cutting head
keep rotating for a couple of seconds. Keep your
arms and legs in safe distance.
Thrown-o stones or soil may lead to
injuries.
Before mowing, check the area to be mowed for
any undesirable objects.
Wear safety goggles when working.
Danger of burns !
Some parts of the appliance get too hot when the
appliance is operated.
Contacting hot parts of the unit may cause burns.
Let the unit cool down after its operation is over.
Risk of poisoning!
Exhaust gases, fuel and lubricants are toxic. Inhaling
exhaust gases may be fatal!
Do not operate the unit in closed spaces where dan-
gerours carbon monoxide gases may accumulate.
Risk of explosion / Risk of re!
Petrol and petrol vapours are highly ammable,
explosive.
Do not work with the unit in an environment with a
risk of explosion where there are ammable liquids,
gases or dust.
Never operate the unit near highly ammable
materials.
Even when the device is used properly and all safety
regulations are complied with, there still may be
some residual risks.
• Cutting injury
• Hearing damage
A longer stay in the immediate vicinity of the
running unit may cause hearing damage. Wear ear
protectors!
• Damage to health arising from vibrations to hand
and arms if the device is used for a long time or if
the device is not guided and evaluated properly.
Vibration damping systems are no guaranteed pro-
tection against white nger disease or carpal tunnel
syndrome. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully check
the state of your ngers and wrist if you have regular-
ly used the appliance for a long time. If any symptom
of the diseases above appears, seek medical advice
immediately. To reduce the white nger disease risk,
keep your hands warm and take regular breaks during
your work.
Despite the observance of the operating instructions
there still may be some hidden residual risks.
