WARNING! Danger of injury !
The appliance must not be used to cut hedges,
hard branches and wood or to crush material for
compost.
Do not use the appliance to cut grass that is not on
the ground, e.g. grass growing on walls, rocks, etc.
Never mount any metal cutting elements.
Always have your arms and legs in safe distance
from the cutting mechanism, in particular after
turning the engine on.
Requirements for operating sta 
The operating sta must carefully read the Opera-
tingInstructions before using the appliance.
This appliance has not been designed to be
used by persons (including children) with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or with a lack of knowledge or experience.
Quali cation: Apart from the detailed in-
structions by aprofessional, no special quali-
 cation is necessary forappliance using.
Minimum age: Persons over 16 years of age
can only workon the appliance.An excep-
tion includes youngsters trained in order to
reachknowledge under supervision of the
trainer duringoccupational education.
Local regulations may stipulate the
minimum age of the user.
Training: Using the appliance only requires corre-
spondingtraining by a professional or the Operating
Instructions. Nospecial training is necessary.

Even when the device is used properly and all safety
regulations are complied with, there still may be
some residual risks.

Never use the string trimmer without the protective
cover.

A longer stay in the immediate vicinity of the run-
ning unit may cause hearing damage.

Despite the observance of the operating instructions
there still may be some hidden residual risks.
Emergency procedure
Conduct a  rst-aid procedure adequate to the injury
and summon quali ed medical attendance as quickly
as possible. Protect the injured person from further
harm and calm them down. For the sake of eventual
accident, inaccordance with DIN13164, a workplace
has to be  ttedwith a  rst-aid kit. It isessential to
replace any usedmaterial in the  rst-aid kitimmedia-
tely after it has been used. If you seek help,state the
following pieces ofinformation:
