Fall Prevention: Permanent Warning Line Stanchion Systems may be used in Fall Prevention applications
ONLY. Fall Prevention Systems are placed around the leading edges of any and all fall hazards to prevent a
worker from going over an edge, and may be used in substitute of Fall Protection or safety netting systems.
Installation requirements for Permanent Warning Line Stanchion Systems set forth in equipment instructions
MUST be adhered to. Personal Fall Arrest, Work Positioning, Climbing, Rescue, and any other systems must
NEVER be connected to Fall Prevention Systems.
Compatible with Guardian Fall Protection Baseplates:
• #15178: Quick-Set Multi-Directional Baseplate.
• #15180: Guardrail Baseplate.
Permanent Warning Line Stanchion height: 38”.
Recommended for use with 5/32” diameter Wire Rope (part #: 01401), and Steel Warning Flag
(part #: 15038).
Permanent Warning Line Stanchions must be placed a MINIMUM 6’ from the leading edge of all fall
hazards.
When mechanical equipment is in use, Permanent Warning Line Stanchions must be placed a
MINIMUM 6’ from the leading edge parallel to the direction of the mechanical equipment, and 10’
from the leading edge perpendicular to the direction of the mechanical equipment.
Permanent Warning Line Stanchions may be placed a MAXIMUM 20’ apart.
Warning Line MUST be rigged so lowest point is not below 34” and highest point is not above 39”.
Warning flags MUST be installed on Warning Line no more than 6’ apart.
