Installation and Use
1. All components of the personal fall arrest system must be selected and deemed compatible with Diablo
Cable Tie-Back SRL-LE by a Competent Person.
!
WARNING
In tie-back applications, snap hook must ONLY be attached
to tie-back webbing. NEVER attach snap hook to cable lifeline.
Tie-Back:
A) Wrap Diablo Cable Tie-Back
SRL-LE tie-back webbing around
selected structural anchor. Ensure
potential free fall does not exceed
what is permitted by the system, as
determined by Competent Person.
B) Attach snap hook to
webbing BELOW rubber stopper.
NEVER attach tie-back hook to
cable lifeline or anything other
than tie-back webbing.
C) Attach Diablo Cable Tie-Back SRL-LE housing to harness by passing bracket locking bar through web
loop immediately beneath harness dorsal D-ring as shown. Ensure bracket is fully closed and locked
prior to use; green indicator must be fully visible.
2. Ensure structural anchor to which Diablo Cable Tie-Back SRL-LE is to be attached, and on which work is to be
performed, is free of all hazards, including, but not limited to, debris, rot, rust, sharp or abrasive edges and
surfaces, and hazardous materials.
Standard:
A) Attach Diablo Cable Tie-Back SRL-LE housing to harness in same manner described above.
B) Attach snap hook to compatible overhead anchorage connector. Ensure potential free fall does not
exceed what is permitted by the system, as determined by Competent Person.
3. Diablo Cable Tie-Back SRL-LE may be used in either tie-back or standard applications. Adhere to the applicable
method of installation and use:
Green indicator
fully visible
SRL connected
to bracket loop
Locking bar inserted
through harness webbing
under dorsal D-ring
Snap hook attached to
tie-back webbing. OK.
NEVER attach snap
hook to cable lifeline.
Always use Diablo Cable Tie-Back SRL-LE in combination with anchor
point that eliminates as much slack in lifeline as possible. Competent
Person must ensure that anchor point location will not introduce
potential free fall greater than what is permitted by the system.
