Procedures
The specimens detailed within the submissions above were used for the tests covered by this report.
Testing was performed in accordance with ANSI Z359.13-2013 unless otherwise specified below.
Reference should be made to the standard when reading this report.
Unless stated otherwise, specimens were tested in the condition as received by INSPEC.
Testing was performed at INSPEC’s laboratory in Kunshan, China.
5.3 / 5.4 Instructions were supplied electronically and used for assessment.
Energy absorbing lanyard, model FAP3118 (6) was first tested and reported in Inspec Test Report
2.16.04.07. Additional testing was requested. This report includes the additional test results.
The manufacturer declared:
1) Energy absorbing lanyard, model FAP3118 (6) and model FAP30198 (6) are of the same family
of products.
2) Both energy absorbing lanyards incorporate the same shock packs PN 500 except
FAP30198(6) is a twin legged lanyard.
Energy absorbing lanyard, model FAP30198 (6) was first tested and reported in Inspec Test Report
2.16.06.02.
The result of the static test (single leg) is incorporated into this report (see 3.2.6).
The result of clause 3.2.10.1 Dynamic performance test (ambient dry) performed using a single leg is
incorporated into this report (see 3.2.4).
