MINIMUM substrate thickness requirements:
• Wood: 3/4” CDX.
• Metal: 20g.
• Concrete: 4” thick and 4,000 p.s.i.
1. Determine installation location for Temper Anchor; ensure location is free of debris, rot, decay, cracking, and
hazardous materials. NEVER install on substrate incapable of withstanding minimum loads required by
application.
8 Per Side:
6 in center,
1 left of center,
1 right of center.
Total: 16.
5. A Competent Person must ensure all fasteners are installed correctly. For wood and metal installations,
rubber gaskets on fasteners must be compressed against Temper Anchor. DO NOT over-tighten fasteners.
Fasteners are over-tightened if gasket breaks, or is entirely squeezed out from underneath fastener.

NEVER load anchor improperly. Prior to installation, refer to
anchorage positioning chart (pg. 3) to ensure installation
location will satisfy intended work application(s).

Temper Anchor MUST install flush against substrate. All installation must be done under the supervision
of a Competent Person.
All fasteners MUST be fully embedded in substrate.
Applicable roof pitches: 0/12 - 12/12.
• For installation onto wood and into field (not positioned
over truss or support beam): use (32) #12 2” screws
(16 per side).
• For installation onto wood and into truss or other compatible
support beam: use (12) #12 2” screws (6 per side) in center
column of Fastener Installation Holes, OR (12) 16d 3½” nails
(6 per side) in center column of Fastener Installation Holes.
• For installation onto metal and into field:
use (16) screws (8 per side), 6 in center
column of Fastener Installation Holes, in 1
hole left of center, and in 1 hole right of
center. Guardian recommends using HILTI
Kwik-Pro Self-Drilling Screws.
4. Place Temper Anchor over roof ridge, and adjust to fit pitch.
Depending on installation type, adhere to the following requirements:

or are deemed compatible by a Competent Person.
• For installation onto concrete:
use (8) ¼” x 2¾” Tapcon screws (4 per side).
Distribute fateners evenly across Temper Anchor.
