5. Place an empty basket on the IntelliPad and enter count for broken or dropped pill(s).

6. A prompt will ask if you need a label printed for the Destruction Inventory. If Yes, the label

printer will print a label with NDC, drug name, lot number, expiration date, original SmartBasket

name, and original SmartBasket barcode.

7. Note: Make simultaneous adjustments in PMS if applicable.

8. Place original SmartBasket on IntelliPad and enter count of contents net of dropped/damaged

pill(s)

9. Place lid on SmartBaskets and shelve into IntelliVault

Note: Drugs in the Destruction Inventory are marked as “Destruction Vault” and removed from

the dispensable inventory count

10. An Exception Report will be generated (Reporting > Exception Report) and the inventory

adjustment as well as any comments will also be included in the Perpetual Log (Reporting >

Perpetual Log)
