SAFETY____________________________________ ▪ Only use original GRUNDIG accessories when exchanging parts. ▪ Check if the mains voltage on the rating label corresponds to your local mains supply. The only way to disconnect the appliance from the mains is to pull out the plug. ▪ Always pull out the power cord before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance on the appliance. ▪ Whenever possible, insert the power cord plug directly into the socket. Avoid using extension cables or multipoint connectors.

No warranty claims are accepted for damage resulting from improper handling. ▪ The vacuum cleaner is very powerful; thus before plugging the cord into the wall socket, make sure the switch is in the ‘off’ position. PREPARATION_____________________________ Notes Note ██ Check whether the mains voltage given on the rating plate (on the underside of the appliance) matches the local mains voltage. ██ Always unplug the appliance from the wall socket before assembling or removing the accessories. ██ To adjust the length of the metal telescopic tube E , push and hold the height setting switch D and slide the tube out or in as required. Release the height setting switch D and make sure that the tube clicks into place.
OPERATION_______________________________ 1 Pull out the the power cord to the required length J . Caution ██ Always rewind the power cord with care as pressing one side of the button K at a high rewinding speed can cause unforeseeable cable movements. Suction control The suction control B is located on the handle and can be operated with your thumb. When the control B is fully closed, the maximum suction power is reached.
CLEANING AND CARE_______________________ Notes ██ The filters of the appliance should be cleaned every time the dust container is cleaned so that you can continue to enjoy its top performance and optimum results. ██ Always unplug the appliance from the wall socket before removing the dust container. ██ Do not use the appliance without all of the filters and dust container in place. 3 Replace the dust container seated properly.
CLEANING AND CARE_______________________ 3 Clean the cyclone separator and the dust container P bin with a soft brush and wipe with a damp cloth. Cleaning the motor protective filter 1 Press the dust container button L and remove the dust container P . 2 Press the latch and take off the motor protective filter cover. 3 Remove the filter by pulling the tab towards you. Caution ██ Dry completely the separator thoroughly before replacing. ██ The cyclone separator should not be submerged in water.
CLEANING AND CARE_______________________ 6 Insert the motor protective filters and cassette back into the appliance when they are completely dry. Attach the motor protective filter cover before restarting the appliance. Cleaning the HEPA filter 1 Turn the HEPA filter cover Q anticlockwise until the arrow shows the unlocked symbol on the filter cover and pull the cover out. Caution: ██ Never put the filter into the washing machine or dry it with a hair dryer.
INFORMATION____________________________ Correcting faults yourself The motor of the appliance is equipped with a thermal cut-out which automatically switches off the motor if it overheats. In this case, complete the following steps: 1 Switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket. 2 Look for the cause of the overheating (blocked hoses/tubes, dirty filter, etc.). 3 Remove any blockages; if necessary clean the filter. 4 Leave the motor to cool for approx. 1 hour.
