English (US) 3.3.3 Inlet pressure requirements The pressure required at the inlet of the pump is a function of the temperature of the water as shown in Table B. In a pressurized system, the required inlet pressure is the minimum allowable system pressure. In a system open to the atmosphere, the required inlet pressure is the minimum distance the pump must be located below the lowest possible water level of the water source (tank, pool, etc.).
Proper installation of the pump will have the terminal box located to one side of the pump or the other, with the conduit entry down. See fig. 1. Français (CA) 3.3.3 Exigences pour la pression d'admission La pression requise à l'admission de la pompe est fonction de la température de l'eau, comme l'indique le tableau B. Dans un système sous pression, la pression d'admission requise est la pression minimale autorisée du système. Dans un système ouvert à l'atmosphère, la pression d'admission requise est la distance minimale à laquelle la pompe doit être située audessous du niveau d'eau le plus bas possible de la source d'eau (réservoir, piscine, etc.
Une installation correcte de la pompe aura la boîte à bornes située sur un côté de la pompe ou de l'autre, avec l'entrée de conduit vers le bas. Voir fig. 1. AVERTISSEMENT Pour un fonctionnement sécurisé, la pompe doit être mise à la terre conformément au Code national de l'électricité, aux codes locaux et aux réglementations locales. AVERTISSEMENT Le câble de mise à la terre doit être un conducteur en cuivre d'au moins la taille du conducteur de circuit alimentant la pompe. La dimension minimale du câble de mise à la terre est de 14 AWG. Brancher le câble de mise à la terre à la vis de terre dans la boîte à bornes, puis au point de mise à la terre admissible.
