The new ALPHA1 circulator is now available for sale in the U.S. and Canada.
Grundfos is expanding its line of energy-efficient ALPHA circulator pumps with the variable-
speed ALPHA1, which has three constant-pressure settings that can replace every single-speed
and 3-speed circulator in its class.
The flexibility of this highly energy-efficient, permanent magnet motor (ECM) pump will
enable distributors to reduce the number of models they stock on their shelves and installers
to reduce the number of pumps on their truck.
The ALPHA1 features three constant-pressure control modes and builds on the current line of
Grundfos ALPHA2 circulators with AUTOADAPT - providing customers with more flexibility to
select the right circulator for their heating, cooling and hot water recirculation applications.
Key features and benefits of the ALPHA1 include:
• Replaces more than 30 other pump models
• Designed by Grundfos and built in our Fresno, California plant
• Features the highest torque rating and most powerful start feature in its class which
attempts to restart indefinitely every seven seconds in blocked rotor conditions
• Magnetite resistant design with a stainless-steel bearing plate, robust ceramic shaft
and ceramic bearing rings
• Extremely quiet 19.2 dB(A) operation
• Three constant-pressure control modes with easy to use push button settings
• Large LED display shows energy consumption and flow indicator
• Compatible with either a line cord or terminal box for conduit connections
• Integrated check-valve and nut captures for flanges
• Available in both cast iron and stainless steel models
