The connection terminals of plug-connected versions differ from
those of terminal-connected versions, but they have the same
function and connection options.
Concerning demands on signal wires and signal transmitters, see
section 14. Disposing of the product.
Use screened cables for external on-off switch, digital input,
sensor and setpoint signals.
Connect screened cables to the ground connection as follows:
• Terminal-connected versions:
Connect the cable screen to ground via the digital-input
terminal. See fig. 40.
• Wire-to-wire-connected versions:
Connect the cable screen to ground via cable clamp. See fig
42.

- Separate wires connected to supply terminals,
outputs NC, NO, C and start-stop input from each
other and from the supply by reinforced insulation.
Make sure that all cables are heat-resistant up to
167 °F (75 °C).
Install all cables in accordance with the National
Electrical Code, or in Canada, the Canadian
Electrical Code, and state and local regulations.
