• Rubber or PU footpads are often used on plastic
chairs to conceal structural weaknesses and save
cost - They often are used to make a non-ASTM
compliant chair meet ASTM standards!!
• Footpads will wear off in use
• Footpads will fall off in use,
leaving an unsafe, unstable chair
• Plastic chairs and chaises with footpads are sold by
mass merchants. They are not suitable for
commercial use!
When specifying or selling resin chairs or chaises for commercial applications - ALWAYS make sure that a certificate of compliance with
ASTM Class B standards is available fr
om a certified independent laboratory......Manufacturer Claims Can Be Deceiving!!!
