Applications
Operation possible in conjunction with: Pressurized storage
heaters, thermally and hydraulically-controlled instantaneous
heaters. Operation with unpressurized storage heaters
(displacement water heaters) is not possible.
Technical Data
• Flow pressure min 7.25 psi/recommended 14.5 - 72.5 psi
• Operating pressure max. 145 psi
• Test pressure 232 psi
If static pressure exceeds 72.5 psi, a pressure-reducing valve
must be fitted.
Avoid major pressure differences between cold and hot water
supply.
• Flow rate at 43.5 psi flow pressure:
Spout approx. 22 l/min or 5.8 gpm
Shower approx. 7.5 l/min or 2.0 gpm
• Temperature:
Hot water supply max. 176 °F
Recommended (energy economy) 140 °F
Note:
GROHE faucets with showers are equipped with DIN-DVGW
approved non-return valves.
Installation
Layout dimensions to establish centers and proper clearences,
see dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
Fitting and connection, see fold-out page II and III,
Figs. [1] to [11].
The hot water supply should be connected on the left, the cold
water supply on the right side.
Water must flow in the direction of the arrows cast into the
body of the side valves and diverter.
Flush pipes thoroughly before and after installation
(observe EN 806).
Shut off hot and cold water supply.
I. Install side valves, see fold-out page II, Fig. [1].
II. Install spout, see Fig. [2].
III.Install diverter, see Fig. [3].
IV.Install hose guide and handshower, see Fig. [4].
V. Install hoses, see Figs. [5], [6] and [7].
Connection to the supply line
Connect hoses (C) and (D) to the existing connections,
see Fig. [10].
Open hot and cold water supply and check connections
for leakage.
Install plate on tile shelf or bath edge.
Grout the joint around the top plate with a permanently
elastic material.
In this way, the inspection chamber will be accessible
at any time.
VI.Install handles (G) and (H), see Fig. [11].
Operation
- Handles (G) and (H), see fold-out page III, Fig. [12].
- Diverter (J)
Turning handles (G) and (H) releases the water supply.
Water will emerge from the bath inlet first.
Pull diverter knob = flow is diverted from bath inlet
to shower outlet
Press diverter knob = flow is diverted from shower
outlet to bath inlet
Flow is diverted automatically from shower outlet to bath inlet
when the faucet is closed.
Maintenance
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and lubricate
with special grease.
Shut off hot and cold water supply.
I. Cartridge, see fold-out page III, Fig. [13].
Assemble in reverse order.
II. Spray hose and filter, see fold-out page III, Fig. [14].
Secure the spray hose against slipping down again.
Assemble in reverse order.
III.Diverter, see fold-out page III, Fig. [15].
Assemble in reverse order.
IV.Flow control (13 952), see fold-out page I.
Assemble in reverse order.
Replacement parts, see fold-out page I (* = Special
accessories).
