lightly by hand, as the saw chain
still has to be tensioned.
Tension the saw chain
The tension of the saw chain (2) is important
for your safety and for the function of the
equipment. A correctly tensioned saw chain
(2) increases the durability of your equip-
ment.
.
Check the chain tension before each
use of the equipment.
• Thesawchain(2)iscorrectlytensi-
oned if it can be pulled around the
blade (3) by hand without sagging
(wear protective gloves).
• Whenthesawchain(2)ispulled
with a tensile force of 10 N (approx.
1 kg), the distance between saw
chain and blade should be no more
than 4 mm.
1. Holdthebladermlyatthetip.
To tension the saw, turn the chain tensio-
ning screw (27) clockwise.
To loosen the tension, turn the chain
tensioning screw anticlockwise.
2. Tightenthebladexingscrew(5)rmly.
For new saw chains (2), the chain
tension must be readjusted again
after a short time in operation.
Assembling the round handle
The Allen key (7) can be found in its
holder on the quick release (8).
- Assemble the claw stop,
- Assemble the blade, saw chain and
chain wheel cover and adjust the
chain,
- Assemble the round handle,
- Fill with chain oil,
- Put on the shoulder strap
Assembling the claw stop
1. Undothebladexingscrew(5)
and remove the chain wheel cover
(6) (small picture).
2. Screw the claw stop (16) onto the
equipment using the enclosed
screws.
Assembling the blade
1. Lay the blade (3) with the central
longitudinal cut over the blade
guide (25). Here, the notched end
of the blade touches the chain
wheel (26).
Assembling the saw chain
1. Turn the chain tensioning screw
(27) anticlockwise on the chain
wheel cover (6) until the chain ten-
sioning pin (28) is on the stop.
2. Lay out the saw chain (2) such that
the angled cutting edges of the
chain links point clockwise.
3. Place the saw chain (2) around the
chain wheel (26) and in the blade
(3) groove.
4. Replace the chain wheel cover (6):
