Electric safety
Read the safety instructions in
order to avoid injuries and material
damage.
• Connectthehighpruningsawonlyto
a plug socket with leakage-current-
operated circuit breaker (l.c.o. circuit
breaker) with a rated current of not
more than 30 mA.
•
Make sure that the mains voltage
agrees with the information of the label.
• Protectthedeviceagainstmoisture.
The device must not be wet and
should not be operated in a moist en-
vironment.
• Checkthedeviceandthepowercable
with plug for damage before every
use. Avoid body contact with earthed
parts (e.g. metal fences, metal posts).
• Employonlyextensioncords,which
are stipulated for use in the open air.
Theexibleleadcross-sectionofthe
extension cord must be at least 2.5
mm

. Always roll a cable drum com-
pletely out before use. Check the ca-
ble for damages.
•
Damaged cables, coupling and plugs or
connecting leads, not corresponding to
thespecications,mustbenotbeem-
ployed. Remove the plug immediately
from the plug socket in case damage or
cutting through of the mains cable.
• If the power cable for this equipment
is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, a customer service
agent of the same or a similarly quali-
edpersoninordertopreventhazards.
Working with the machine
Caution: to avoid accidents and inju-
ries:
Preparation:
• Thisequipmentisnotintendedforuseby
people (including children) with restricted
physical, sensory or intellectual capacities
or with a lack of experience and/or know-
ledge unless they are supervised by a
person who is responsible for their safety
or they have received instructions from
such a person on how to use the equip-
ment.
• Childrenshouldbesupervisedinorder
to ensure that they do not play with the
equipment.
• Whenworking,alwayswearsuitablework
clothing that allows freedom of move-
ment. This includes a protective helmet,
ear defenders, safety glasses or face pro-
tection, gloves with cut protection, safety
boots with cut protection and sturdy soles,
and protective trousers with saw protec-
tion.
• Alwaysusetheshoulderstrapsupplied.
• Keepyouworkareainorder.Onlybegin
once the work area is free of obstacles.
• Ensuretherearenopeopleoranimalsin
the vicinity of the work area. Be especially
mindful of children.
• Neverstarttheequipmentbeforeallcase
and protective parts (e.g. blade, saw
chain and coupling cover) are correctly
tted.
• Removeadjustingequipmentorspanners
before switching on the equipment.
Use:
• Ensurethattheequipmentdoesnotcome
into contact with the ground, stones, cable
or other foreign bodies when starting and
during work. Switch off the equipment be-
fore putting it down.
• Neverworkwiththeequipmentwhen
tired or ill or after taking tablets, alcohol or
other drugs. Always take a break in time.
