The operator or user is liable for accidents,
injury to humans or damage to their property.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for dam-
ages caused by non-intended or inappropri-
ate operation.
Assembly
Attach the anti-vibration handle (4)
and hand guard (3) together on the
mounting block of the petrol hedge
trimmer.
Screw the anti-vibration handle and hand
guard together with the two screws enclosed.
Starting up
After turning off the appliance,
the blades will keep moving for a
short while. Allow the blades to
come to a halt, do not touch the
moving blades and do not slow
them down. Risk of injury!
Read the safety instructions before
starting the appliance. Do not oper-
ate the appliance without the hand
guard. To operate the appliance,
wear suitable clothing, work gloves
as well as head, eye and ear pro-
tection. Prior to every use, check
that the appliance is operative. Only
use OEM parts.
The anti-vibration handle and hand guard
must be installed before the rst use of
the equipment. Check that it is in working
order and ll with fuel.
Filling up
Ensure proper ventilation when
handling fuel. Do not smoke
when lling up and keep away all
heat sources. Do not ll up when
the motor is running or still hot.
Carefully remove the ller cap to
allow any excessive pressure to
relieve slowly. Do not start the
appliance near the place of lling
up. Use suitable and admissible
vessels to keep the fuel in. Non-
compliance causes a risk of re
or explosion.
Use the fuel mixture recommended
in the manual only. Verify that it is
no older than 3 months. Non-com-
pliance may damage the motor and
your warranty will be voided..
Prevent petrol from coming into
contact with your skin and do not
inhale petrol fumes. Health risk!
The appliance runs on a 40:1
mixture of unleaded petrol
and two-stroke engine oil (API
TC quality).
Table of fuel mixtures:
Petrol Grizzly two-stroke oil
3,00 litres 75 ml
4,00 litres 100 ml
5,00 litres 125 ml
Mixing
40 parts of petrol + 1 part
of oil
Do not use undiluted fuel. Only use
two-stroke oil (no four-stroke oil or oil
for water-cooled engines). Non-com-
pliance may damage the motor and
your warranty will be voided.
